Indiana University’s more than 4,700 faculty on eight campuses across Indiana are integral parts of their communities contributing in a thousand ways to the quality of life for Hoosiers.

Collectively, they represent a powerful intellectual resource for the state of Indiana. They are educating the next generation of teachers, lawyers, physicians, social workers, economists, and many others. At the same time, they play a direct role in the state’s economy, health care system, social services, public education—whether they are seeing patients at the IU Medical Center, chairing a group of citizens working on behalf of the mentally ill, or establishing a regional science museum.
